TARGET: | 2,23,000 (Two Lakhs Twenty-Three Thousand only) For the first time since the EBCC Delhi had branched out into two full-fledged Churches viz., EBCC Delhi and EBCC Central Delhi, the youth of both the Churches have, with due approval of the respective Local Deacons Committees, decided to formally join hands in supporting and promoting Project Nehemiah. Out of the total commitment, a sum of Rs 2, 22,000 was to be raised by the BYF, EBCC Delhi and the remaining amount by their Central Delhi counterparts. |
THRUST AREAS: | The Core Team, which comprised of both the Chairmen and Secretaries of BYF, EBCC Delhi and Central Delhi, was constituted for the purpose of making a detailed study of the various implementation policies/options. The Team recommended three major thrust areas for the Project during this period, along with an indicative budget allocation, as follows:-

A pilot batch of volunteers under the Teach 2014 Initiative was sent to the two Schools to support the teachers for one week. Total Project expenses incurred: | The five volunteers were divided into two Teams:-
Ms. Zenngaihniang & Ms. Joycee Vunghoihkim. Both Teams stayed in the villages from July 12-19, 2014 and assisted the school staff in their classroom teachings, apart from engaging the students in various CCAs, interactions on life-skills and career-related topics, etc. Click here to see report and feedback. |

PHASE – III | Grace English School, Mualnuam, Singngat Division |
A budgetary commitment of Rs 55,000/- has been earmarked for setting up of a book bank/library for the School, the first of its kind in the hills of southern Manipur. | The Local School Committee, with the support of Director (I) and the local MLA, took the initiative of constructing a new building for the library. Project Nehemiah, on its part, fulfilled its commitment by supplying approximately 300 books of various on various subjects for the library. The library was inaugurated on July 11, 2015 by Director (I). The event was attended by three members of BYF, EBCC Delhi as well as the Dist. Superintendent of Singngat Division and his staff. Besides, librarians from Grace Bible College and Don Bosco School imparted a crash course on library management to the teachers of the school. |
