Baptist Children Department (BCD)

Baptist Children Department (BCD) an important organ of the EBCC, is essentially the children's department of the church. The department is headed by a Superintendent, under whom are the team of Sunday School Teachers.

The primary activity of the BCD involves conducting Sunday School for the children. Children from age 4 to 18 attends this Sunday School, and they are grouped into six different Class according to their age. The children are also engaged in various classroom activities through which Christian teachings, spiritual developments, personal developments, etc are imparted upon them.

Other activities of BCD includes:

Conducting Devotion Programme every Sunday before commencement of Class.
Competitions in various discipline for learning and overall development of the children.
Conducting Seminars, Counselling Programs, Camps, etc.
Conducting Annual Sports/Outing program.
Conducting Annual Day/Graduation Day program.
Conducting Parents-Teachers Prayer Fellowship.
The children also takes part in the programs and activities of the Church like presentation of Songs, Choreography, Skits, Dramas, etc during Christmas, New Year,Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, Mothers's/Father's Day (Sunday), etc.Mothers's/Father's Day (Sunday), etc.

The BCD also has a Library which was setup with the support of Mr. Joe Missingill from the United States. Various Christian literatures and books are being maintained in the library which the Children can borrow freely.
