As the Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy to do his best (II Tim.2:15), even Pastor Tuanglang and his family have landed in Delhi to give their best. In return the Pastor expects the best of understanding and cooperation from the parish.
The importance of a life of prayer can be exemplified by the life of Jesus Christ. Prayer is an effective mechanism in a Christian's fight against the enemy; it has the ability to summon God’s power and prayer is a valuable ministry in the Lord’s Kingdom. Every born-again Christian has an enemy. One must understand that the enemy truly can’t be fought with weapons. They are the fallen angels who are too intelligent, too smart and too active to be overcomed by human wisdom. One has to let the Holy Spirit fight against such evil spirits. By upholding oneself in the mighty hands of the Lord through prayer, one can be safe in the sanctuary of the Lord. It may be difficult to endure in the fight against the enemy, yet the fruit of victory is extraordinary.
The Pastor has an amazing testimony with regard to the goodness and mercy of God in response to prayers of His children. While serving in Karbi Anglong mission field, the Pastor’s wife had a miscarriage. There was no lighting in the room and he had hardly INR 1000/- in his pocket. There was no relative nearby who could offer immediate help. Then an old acquaintance called up and helped him out. The Pastor is more specifically amazed by the manner in which the phone signal obliged at such a topography.
