The Pastor commences the service with a prayer after reading out verses from Psalm 95.
The worship team took over the stage leading the congregation in singing songs of praise followed by mass prayer.
Offertory prayer was made by Upa. Chinsum.
Pastoral prayer for all the members of the church.
Sermon
Why is a Christian Family important? (ref: Malachi 2:15)
God made man and women as one flesh through the holy covenant of marriage for he desires a Godly offspring that is in favour of Him. Let us see how this plan of God is obstructed? Are we marrying just because we think we have come of age or is it because we think we have become financially self-sufficient? If these are the sole criteria based on which one takes the decision then maybe He/she is rather obstructing God’s vision of a Christian family.
By faith Abraham followed God’s direction and went off to go look for the promised land which he had not yet seen, and by faith Noah built an ark before the foretold calamity.
But in the present times we rely more on our own capability rather than having faith in God’ capability. This attitude is an obstruction to God’s plans.
God is not only capable but he makes things happen for those who have faith in him. But the greatest hindrance to God’s will in our present times is Doubt.
One who does not seek the will of God cannot find favour with God. We should as a family seek the will of God.
