SERMON OF THE DAY:
THEME: PICHINNA ~IPet 1: 13-15
The Pastor took to the pulpit and made his sermon on ‘Maturity.’ He mentioned that he interacted with today’s graduates the other day. He also mentioned that it is the practice of EBCC to hold Graduation Ceremonies for those who attained the age of 18 as they are considered mature. However, one also needs to be baptized to become a full communicant member. Graduation does not mean that one attained freedom to do whatever one likes. Rather, one has reached a stage of life where one can achieve bigger things as one has been equipped with the courses he have taken from Beginner to Senior classes while in BCD. He stressed on the following points:
- Christ-filled life
- Life based on Christ
- Preparing minds
- The challenges of freedom
- Life’s struggles
- Cling onto the Bible in times of trial and hardships
