A Brief Summary of the Worship Service
Pastor V. Nenglian made a brief welcome speech thanking the good Lord Almighty for His abundant blessings for the day. He read a portion of the Scriptures, Psalms 105 and with a prayer the worship programme was dedicated to the Lord, and then followed a period of Praise and Worship led by the Worship Team which consisted of singing selected hymns and a mass prayer of the gathering. After which, Upa Tuanmuanthang consecrated the offertories of the day.
Thereupon, it was time for the Pastoral Prayer, as has been customarily conducted on the first Sundays of each month. The Pastor referred to the First Epistle to Timothy 2:1 and urged the gathering to be thankful to one another and to pray for one another, as this pleases God.
Nu Haumuankim then presented a succinct and interesting report on the 40th Big Dorca Congregation that they had attended which was held at Centenary Hall in New Lamka, followed by a finance report from the Finance Secretary of TBDF.
Then, Pastor Nenglian delivered the Lord's message for the day. The topic for the day was Regarding Life of a Believer. The Pastor read from 2 Peter Chapter 1 verses 3 till 11. He explained that one must do everything to glorify God and to honour Him; otherwise all will be in vain. He urged the gathering to have the true love that come from God so that husbands could truly love their wives and wives could love honour and serve their husbands. The Pastor explained that the Power of God's love and goodness had given us everything we needed to have a true and worthy life and a religious life. He further explained that the means to have that abundant life and the promises that that give us are made clear in the Scripture of choice. Lastly, he then besought the gathering to have or to once again renew their commitments to Christ.
After that, the Pastor then made a brief announcement about the Baptism Service that is going to be held on the next Saturday. Counselling for that would begin at 8:00 am on the day itself. Upa Kamsuanthang then invoked the benediction, upon which the day's worship service was over.
