The worship service started at 11:00 AM with a brief prologue on Pentecost by L/Upa Ngulminthang followed by hymns led by the Worship Team.
Sunday offering and prayer by Upa Damsomthang followed by oration from Pastor’s Assistant, Evan Khaikhuphang. He defined Pentecost Day as Outpouring of the Holy Spirit and cited a verse from the Bible, John 16:7 - Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
His sermon continues with the question, what is Pentecost? The term originated from a Greek word which means 50 (fifty). The main topic for discussion was taken from Acts 2:1-15, broadly classifying it as “The descending of the Holy Spirit and its work”
The sermon is segregated into three parts:
Evidence of the Spirit’s coming – Acts 2: 1-4
Effects of the Spirit’s coming – Acts 2: 5-11
Explanation of the Spirit’s coming – Acts 2:12-15
He further proceeds with explaining the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

- The Holy Spirit teaches us the right path – John 14:26 ; 1Corinthians 2:6-14
- The Holy Spirit reveals God’s purpose for us – 2Timothy 3:16,17
The sermon ended with a song led by the Worship Team, Showers of blessing, beautifully composed by James McGranahan. Upa Chinsum then closed the worship service with a prayer of thanks and benediction.
