PRESENTATION OF YEAR PLAN 2014
A Christian Ministry is a service of Love. Chalking out a strategy to get such Love manifested in, and shone through Church members, is the first and foremost duty as the EBCC Delhi, stand in January, 2014.
The three benchmarks of a living Church mentioned by the Apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 are:-
- Growth in Faith
- Multiplying mutual love
- Determination with Perseverance and Patience
In his epistle Paul mentioned his wish that the love for good and acts of faith by the Thessalonians be fulfilled, which would ultimately bring glory to God.
The most important task of the Evangelical Baptist Convention Church is to praise and to worship God, missionary work being the primary aim and objective.
To grow, a Church ought to be healthy. Counting on the strength of God a comprehensive list of targets to be achieved has been budgeted under the following 5 broad categories for the year 2014:-
I. WORSHIP - Matt. 4:10; Ps 34:3 (Rs. 1,54,000+1,00,000) which comprises of
- ·Looking into the possibility of holding two worship services while continuing with the existing tradition of a service a week.
- ·Further strengthening worship team and inspiring growth in music through holding training/orientation.
- ·Setting up of Church Choir- BYF
- · Emphasis on physical cleanliness and aesthetics of the Church
- · Better monitoring of ushering – BYF
- · Observing BCD Graduation Programme
- · To hold Christmas Carol.
II. FELLOWSHIP- Eph. 2:19 (Rs. 72,000) which comprises of
- · Workshop on departmental joint fellowship/workshop
- · Revamp of prayer cells through steps like convenors’ training
- · BCD teachers’ orientation
- · Interactive session with the Senior Class of BCD who are being graduated
- · Encouraging the efforts of the various departments
- · Youth Summer Retreat – BYF
- · Holding of fellowship specifically for PSUs/Central & State Government employees
III. DISCIPLESHIP ref Col 1:28 (Rs 39,000) with special focus on
- · Taking special interest on the teaching of the Biblical truth through Sunday School lessons by conducting test exams occasionally
- · Stress on the importance of worship in offering
- · Continuing with the tradition of Prayer in Fasting held every first Sunday of the month.
- · Strengthening prayer network
- · Holding couple seminar
- · Seminar on Marriage/Life-partner and City Life
- · Teaching of Doctrine and Bye Law
IV. MISSIONS ref. Matt 28:19-20 (Rs. 50,000) which may be broken up into specific points like
- · Helping fix at least 30 more missionary sponsorships and to meet the target fixed by the Headquarters for Delhi in this regard.
- · Boosting the ongoing missionary work in the immediate surrounding including partnership with Moonlight Ministry.
- · To observe Missionary Day, Bible Sunday & Mission Sunday – TBMC
- · Encouraging personal evangelism – Publication
- · Visit of Mission field – TBMC
- · Relief Work in Missions – BDF.
V. MINISTRY ref Eph 4:12 (Rs. 85,000) which consists of
- · Table Ministry
- · Efforts at broadening the ministry through the media (website/ebccdelhi.org &telephone)
- · Enhancing the quality of existing publications (DEW, GAMCHIAM, etc.). It is planned to publish an issue based publication (Rs. 50,000/-) and to prepare a guidebook on personal evangelism.
- · Bringing out of Annual Report booklet/Video CD at the end of the year.
- · To enhance the coverage and frequency of visits- prayer cells, area fellowships, house and hospital visits.
- · Conduct and monitoring of hospitality in an efficient manner
- · Making good use of opportunities in creating a better co-ordination with other churches and NGOs by participating in meetings, seminars and workshops and handing out of assistance.
