The Worship service started off with invocation of the Almighty by worship leader Khual. A heartfelt praise and worship session followed. Thereafter, Upa H Kam Suanthang dedicated the offerings and announced a wedding invitation for a member of the congregation.
The Election Commission, led by Upa Thiankhanmuan conducted the election for the BYF Committee term 2025. Reading Scripture portion from 1 Samuel 16:7, he gave exhortation and encouragement to the youths to cautiously choose our next BYF committee just as God choose David to be King. Pastor Suankhanhau then blessed the election session.
Pastor Suankhanhau took up the pastoral prayer session for the month of December. He then preached on the topic – Oneness through the spirit of Peace. Pastor emphasized on the importance of striving to be a ‘peacemaker’ in peoples’ lives, which he said can only be attained through Jesus Christ. Substantiating his point, he also read out Scripture portion from Matthew 5:9, Romans 12:18 and Exodus 4:1-4. Pastor gave a brief overview on how God used ‘Moses and his staff’ to perform miracles. He allegorized Moses’ story with believers; he said that when God called Moses to lead the Israelite, He used what Moses had in his hands, i.e. his staff. In the same way, God can use the things that is in our hands - our skills and talents, experiences and challenges, relationships and connections to glorify Him and bring peace in other people’s lives.
He concluded his sermon by preaching that as long as we make ourselves available for God, He can and will qualify us just as He transform Moses’ ordinary staff to perform miracles. Pastor then requested the worship team to lead the congregation in singing ‘Hong Sang In’ and spoke a blessing over the congregation.
The TBUC Secretary then made an important announcement regarding Christmas and New Year Celebration Program.
The worship team led the last hymn for the day, ‘Kum Sul Hei’ and the service ended with the congregation saying the Lord’s Prayer together.
