The morning service was allotted for BCD Graduation Day in which Kamchinmung was the conductor for the event. He expressed his gratitude to the ministerial committee for granting them the 10 a.m. time slot and called Ngakthianpui to open the service. She read from Psalm 103: 1-5 and 1 Timothy 4:12 before opening the service with a prayer. The worship team then took over for a praise and worship session. Elder B Langkham dedicated the offerings of the day to the Lord.
The BCD Superintendent Elder T. Thiankhanmuan announced that this graduation batch had the most number of graduates (25) in the history of our church. The next segment was a short sermon by Pastor T Lamkhanthang. He gave a brief description about the pastor prayer fellowship before addressing his sermon. He told the newly graduates that they were now allowed to have spouses but under the condition that it was with the approval of the parents and under the rules of the church. The sermon was centered around 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. The verses’ core themes were to rejoice, pray without ceasing and thanksgiving. He elaborated on each theme, explaining that the world cannot give permanent joy but the joy in a relationship with Christ provides comforting and securing joy. Furthermore, there is a limit to what one can do as we always need help as a human, thus, the help is ever ready from God. He also elaborated on the importance of being thankful as well as to remember that God wants the best for you. Thus, in conclusion, practicing these three themes as a true christian would give no time for depression in our lives. After his sermon, the pastor prayed over the the graduates.
The last segment of the service was given to groups of the Senior class who presented beautiful special numbers. At the end of the service, Elder H Kamsuanthang was called to close the graduation day with a prayer.
