Today's service began with an opening prayer by Lia Rebecca Dimkhoniang, followed by wonderful time of worship led by the Worship Team. Offerings were dedicated to the Lord by Elder Khamkhanpau.
A moment of prayer fellowship was led by Pastor Lamkhanthang in which he focused on “Called to be Holy” taken from 1 Peter 1:13-16 (13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”). A special choir was presented by Team -T405 (Agape Itna, Jesu nungzui ding).
This was followed by testimony sharing from Tg. Pianggousiam and Tg. Reuben Paukhankhup.
Today's sermon was taken up by Evan. Lianding Guite. He started off by welcoming everyone and appreciating those who shared their testimony. He began with the 3 stages of salvation -
- Justification by the blood of Christ (Romans 5:8-9)
- Sanctification - Life long process. Through this, he wants everyone to grow and read Bible everyday (1 Peter 2:2, 2 Timothy 3:16)
- Glorification
He then impressed upon -
- Prayer less is powerless (Luke 6:12, Matthew 17:21)
- Christian giving (Hebrew 10:23-25)
- Jesus die for you; live for Him (Philippines 14:17)
- Transformation (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:2, Romans 6:6,11)
Before you were born again, you were Satan's property but once you're born again, your master changed i.e., the living God.
He then gave a brief about the 3D rule -
- Draw your boundary
- Declare your boundary
- Defend your boundary
He then talked about how dress is the silent speaker. You should dress appropriately. You show that you are a follower of Jesus Christ by the way you dress. As a child of God, we should always remember whom we should try to please.
Then he speaks about the 3 types of man-
- Natural man - A man who does everything according to his will.
- Carnal Man - Knows God but does not live his life according to God's will.
- Spiritual Man - A born-again man living his life according to God’s will ( Rome 8:7-8)
He ended his sermon with the following remark: “If you are born again, then live a changed life. (1 John 2:15-17, Romans 12:2, Jacob 4:4, 2 Corinthians 6:17)
