Today's service begins with an opening prayer by Lia Niangbiaknem followed by wonderful time of worship led by the Worship team. Offering were dedicated to the Lord by Elder Chinsum. Prayer fellowship was led by Pastor Suankhanhau followed by sermon which was taken up by Pastor himself.
Today's lession was taken from Lesson 19-20 (Galatians5:1-12). He divides the lesson into 4 topics-
- Call for freedom 5:1- Here he speaks on how the sacrifices of our Lord Jesus Christ has set us free. It is a gift from God that is given to us and can be received only through faith. It is important to stand firm on that freedom we get and used it wisely.
- Warning against legalism (5:2-4) This verse tells us to mark about the danger of not following the orders. If one sins against the order, than the sacrifices that Jesus made for us is of no used to those people. If one plans to follow the law but fails to follow even one than he is still sinning.
- What is faith? (5:5-7) In jesus Christ, it's of no used if circumcised or not it's faith that matter.
- Having faith in the truth (5:8-12) It is important to stand firm in the truth and follow the correct teaching. The false teaching came from a person but it didn’t come from Jesus. Judgment awaits those who lead them astray and away from Jesus. Every action bears its consequences.
He concluded by saying that one should be very careful in following the ways of God,respect him and not do anything that is against his will.
This was followed by a short session of Praise and Worship led by the Worship team and closing Prayer by Elder Khamgoupau Guite.
