The worship service began with the congregation reading together Matthew 22: 36-38 which was led by worship leader Pauchinlian who also committed the worship service to the Almighty. An interactive and uplifting praise and worship followed. Elder H. Zabiak dedicated the offerings to the Lord.
The BYF Committee opened the sequence of special songs that soon followed by beautifully presenting a choral piece ‘Sian Vonte’; the Faithline band ardently presented two special songs; brother Biakmuan sweetly sang a devotional acoustic song; Hope Trio harmoniously sang ‘Na Muanhuaina a Lian’; a veteran member band, the Tuailailai gave praise to the Almighty by presenting the song ‘Pallai Nite’’ which was also in remembrance of the late T.S Khai, who wrote the powerfully evocative lyric.
Mr. Lalboi Mangte Secretary, BYF took the stage and welcomed all the 80 (approximately) freshers, introducing the BYF Area-coordinators and BYF committee, he also encouraged the freshers to participate in church activities. The freshers were asked to remain on the stage as Pastor Suankhanhau Gualnam and Pastor Lamkhanthang handed out a small gifts to them. Pastor Thang invoked the blessings of the Almighty for their time in Delhi. Thereafter, the worship team led the congregation in singing a heartfelt praise to the Lord.
Pastor Lamkhanthang was the main speaker for the day, reading from Psalm 37: 1-5, he earnestly asked the youths of the congregation to pay heed to these lessons during their stay in Delhi, which he called the three lessons in life – 1.Warning: We must remain vigilant in everything we do and avoid bad company, as written in 1 Corinthians 15:33. 2) Live it out: We must be faithful and be thankful to the Lord in everything we do and that this should be our lifestyle because it is the secret of triumph and success. 3) Rely upon: It is inevitable for human beings to go through tough times and when we go through these tough times we must rely upon the Lord without fear of the future. Quoting from Isaiah 46:4, Pastor Thang emphasized on the importance of relying on God. He concluded his sermon with a prayer.
The worship service continued with a lively song of praise sang by sister Ngaithansang; JEMS Quartet presented a melodious song; the last song was from the group T305 who presented a meaningful medley of ‘Ka Zaitha’ and ‘Goodness of God’ followed by announcements from Pastor Thang regarding the Tuesday Worship Service.
Led by the Praise and Worship team, the congregation sang the last hymn in unison and Pastor Suankhanhau Gualnam closed the worship service with thanksgiving and benediction.
