The Service began with a reading of Scripture portion from Hebrews 10:19-22 by Miss Jenny Ngaihzenlian and a prayer committing the Service to the Lord. The worship team led the congregation with a soul-stirring praise and worship which was followed by dedication of the offerings to the Almighty by Pastor Suankhanhau.
Shortly after, Mr. Minlian Hauzel performed a zestful song. Greeting the congregation, Pastor Suankhanhau read out 1 Corinthians 10:17 preaching that as we feast on the Holy Communion, we must remember that we are unified with the Father as one loaf through Jesus Christ. That being so, our Oneness in Christ must transcend our earthly labels and differences. Reading out Luke 22:19-20, Pastor Hau expounded on how Jesus’ love for us made Himself a sacrificial meal so that God’s enmity with us can be reconciled; Pastor Hau also exhorted the congregation to reconsider our offertories to the Lord, who paid such a high price for our salvation. By reading out 1 Corinthians 11:25-26 Pastor Hau explained further that Jesus Christ is the head and we are individually members of His body and that this relationship should prompt a changed behavior in us; forgiveness, kindness, faithfulness and self-control are fruits we must bear as a member of Christ’ body.
Pastor Hau conducted the Holy Communion, reading out from the Scripture, he blessed the bread and wine followed by the Elders meticulously distributing it to the congregation. The congregation then partook the communion bread and wine reverentially.
The worship team led the last hymn and the worship service concluded with prayer and benediction by Elder Chinsum.
