June 9 being observed as Children’s Day under EBC, the programme was specially designed by the Baptist Children Department of EBCC Delhi to cater to the children. The first session began at 10 AM and included lively singspiration, special number from six children bands and competitions. Pastor Lamkhanthang inaugurated the programme and committed it to the Lord in prayer.
Led by the Praise and Worship Department, excited children moved their hands and feet in tune with the beautiful music as they sang joyous songs of praise for the glory of God. Htp. Kamchinmung took the stage and conducted the final round of Bible recitation competition for primary and junior students who qualified in the preliminary round held earlier. During the course of the competition and immediately after, One Day Band, 7 Love for Jesus, Rhapsody Triad and Alpha & Omega bands enthralled the audience with their melodious voices, wonderful music and performance. Htp. Summinlun then conducted Bible quiz competition for primary & junior as well as intermediate & senior classes. Band of Grace and Christ gives Life presented their special number to the delight of all. The final round of Bible quiz competition for intermediate & senior students saw Manthianniang, Ngainunhoih and Blessings Siamnunhoih on the stage answering probing questions. The much awaited special presentation by Beginner A & B students drew cheering and applause from all. Thereafter, the last item for the session i,e final round of Bible recitation for intermediate & senior classes was held.
The session concluded with a thanksgiving prayer and saying of ‘Grace’ for lunch by Upa Chinsum.
