Pastor then took up bible study on Galatians 2:1-10 (Lessons 6&7). He explained the background of verse 1 where Paul said he went up again to Jerusalem after fourteen years with Barnabas and Titus. He then pointed out that Paul, responding to a revelation, was led by the Holy Spirit in going up to Jerusalem and correlate the need for the church as well as believers to be led by the Holy Spirit for being on the right path and doing the right works. He further spoke about how Paul was careful in meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, his commitment that the Gospel would not be preached in vain, the freedom believers have in Christ as opposed to under the Law and how Paul did not compromise with the leaders of Judaism to preserve the truth of the Gospel. At this point, Pastor challenged the congregation on what steps they have taken to preserve the truth of the Gospel in their family or homes. He also expounded on Paul’s apostolistic work to the gentiles just as Peter was for the Jews due to the grace of God given to him. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of setting a boundary and focusing on a particular area. Laying emphasis on the need for the church as well as individual believer to focus on the poor, Pastor summed up by urging the congregation to preserve the truth of the Gospel and extend their hands to the poor.
The congregation then sang the last hymn and the worship service concluded with prayer and benediction by ordained elder Pauzalian.
