# A Short brief on Sunday school lesson 10, 11 & 12
1 Corinthians 12 : 7 – chosen bible verse from lesson 10. Our pastor say that God has given us a gift of spirit so that each one of us have a common good.
1 Corinthians 12 : 27 – for lesson 11. Just as we are a part of the body of Christ. We should keep in mind the importance of every part of the body for its development.
1 Corinthians 12 : 31 – for lesson 12. Here it seems as if the gifts are divided into different level but it’s not that rather it is talking about the best of it and the excellent way mean love if we look at chapter 13.
1 Corinthians 12 : 1 – 3. From these verses we can see that Apostle Paul was talking about the church of Corinthians about their gift for the building up of the church by God,instead they are proud of themselves. During those time there is a wrong belief called ‘Heresy’, they belif that Jesus is a spirit but not a human, this people insulted the Lord indirectly. Verse 4 talk about the gift of the spirit, two things arise here are Talent and gift of the spirit. Difference between the two are the former is given to us for the upliftment of ourself but the later is given for uplifting other people. In V6 the speaker said that the ability to do such gift come from God the Father. Although many gift are given to different people in different way, the provider is the same. One cannot choose as one desire, it was given according to the need and desire of the Lord(V7). V12 talk about the brunches of the body. Just like different parts of our body form a single human, it will be incomplete if there is a part missing out so each and everyone of us plays a great role in the sphere of the church no one can keep aloof from it, he said. V21, those part of the body that seem to be weaker and unnoticeable are indispensable. Likewise in the church those of us who are seem to be unimportant and unnoticed, we are the backbone of the church infact no one can say I am not important in this or that. V27, here it look like there is a collision when we see ‘now eagerly desire the greatest gift and yet I will show you the most excellent way’. No it doesn’t collide, probably the greatest gift to us is to use the gift that was given to us in the best and most useful way, and that way we can say it is thus greatest gift to us.
He end his speech by reading out a chosen Bible verse from Mathew 12 : 24.
