# A Short brief of the sermon.
The speaker greeted all of us in the name of God. He says that taking part among the children value us in our life in one way or the other.
He read out Ephesian 6 : 1 & 2 then ask the lord for help in prayer. To go deeper into his sermon he asked the children who knows the story of David then reminded us to remember three life lesson that we can witness from the life of King David i.e 1. OBEDIENCE – when David was 15 years, he was anointed by Prophet Samuel, Perhaps he started taking care of the sheep when he was 13 or 14 years. This made us know that he did this because of his obedience, even in a grisly situation he was able to take care of the sheep. When the time came God used those experienced faced by David to encounter Goliath. God used him to be the leader of the Israelites through all those knowledge and skills that David acquired in the jungle. So David did as God commanded him and they struck down the philistine army, all the way from Gibeon to Gezer. So David fame spread throughout every land, and the Lord made all the Nations fear him. 2. IDENTITY – Psam 139. Comparision began when a person is insecure and doesn’t know his identity. Saul was insecure and jealous of David when people started to shout Saul has slain thousand and David has slain his ten of thousand, he planned to kill David from that day onward. The speaker says that he doesn’t want us(teens) to start comparing and we don’t have to be like somebody else, start looking for attention, start looking for affirmation because all these things will kill us inside, we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God because we are God’s master piece. The relation between God and David was so close that his identity in God is healthy and not confuse. The gender issue faced by the modern western people started with all the issue of identity. As an assurance from God our identity doesn’t depend on what people have done to us or past mistake or failure. 3. REPENTENCE – David has a life style of repentence. When David sinned, prophet Nathan came to him and confronted him, we can see in pslam 51:4 the repentence of David, when we sin, first we sin against God and onto the human and that is the reason why David prayed ‘cast me not away from your presence o lord, and take not away the holy spirit from me, restore unto me the joy of salvation and create a new spirit within me’. We live in a sinful world, we are still under the influence of sin, what we see, hear, exposed with and everything is so sinful and sensual. So is the reason we can fall into sin but when we fall and does something against God we should be like David, lets come back to God and ask forgiveness. For the last he say that the person who doesn’t want to repent are the proudest people in this world. After this he gave some example of lucifer, king Nebuchadnezzar and Herod and end his speech with prayer after showing the love of God on the white screen.
