Resurrection Day Sermon by Rev L Kamzamang based on the scriptures of I Corinthians 15:14-21. Before he go deep into his sermon he brief us about his mission and Aim and Objective of starting such a ministry.
Sermon by Rev Kamzamang
1st Corinthians 15:14 - 21
The death and resurrection of Jesus is the core of our christian faith. This is what differentiates Christian from other religion. Certain critics, claims and thoughts are made against the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sceptics had claimed that the disciples had taken away the body of Jesus Christ.
Jews claimed that the body was stolen
But these claims are unfounded, Even if jews stole the body they would rather want to expose his body to claim Jesus has not resurrected.
Sceptics also claims that Mary and her friends were hallucinating, describing all their experience as fake and not real. but this is also not possible as a bunch of people cannot be hallucinating.
All these showed that the resurrection of jesus is true beyond doubt and it is at the foundation of our faith
The importance of Resurrection
- If there is no resurrection our salvation would be futile and hopeless. Cross representend jesus stretching out his arms ready to embrace us and made peace between God and Human relation.
- It even forgive not only us but also those of our unborn child of this generation. We have the previlege to be called as the sons of God, it open our spiritual eyes as well as give blessing to us physically.
- God forgave out past, present and future sins through his salvation. This is the core importance of salvation but in order to fullfill all this jesus need to die and resurrect on the third day.
- We need Jesus to clear our thought so that once again our perspective and spiritual view on how see things in this world can be renewed base on what God expected us to be in this world and the next to come.
- Having a boldness to do what is right. God doesn't give us fear instead he gave us power and self-esteem to rise over fear.
Further, the speaker exhorted the mass to make use of our previlege while we stay here in delhi to spread the word of God in every possible way in our daily life. He siad that God wanted to free us from all the things that we are bound in this world and any kind of addiction we had. Our anxiety, fear, depression etc are being fueled up by the covid19 pendamic. He gave us some example of the things that he is a slave to and how God truely give us victory over it. All the reason is very diverse but God give us hope and rest. sometimes we define 'Truth' in our own way, social media is also a source of additional pressure for our insecurities. He again invited the congregation to approach God and give faith in him once again.
I had sacrificed my son when he was having brain cancer and we struggled a lot during these times. But the moment I sacrificed it to God I realised the power of God and it changed me. Let our hope not be rested on this world but let's focus on beyond this world.
Becasue he lives, life is worth the living, I can face tomorrow.
