He gave a brief testimony about his life in Youth with a Mission (YWAM). He joined YWAM in 2002 but due to health issues he had to leave. In 2005, he had a major operation. During that time he heard God’s calling, to which he replied “Take me wherever you want, I will follow.” In May 2007, he joined the Discipleship Training School (DTS) program in Dehradun under YWAM and then in 2008, volunteered for two years in DTS, Mumbai. In 2011, he got married to his lovely wife Niangbiakkim who did DTS in Dehradun before they could work together in YWAM. In 2014, they both started work in Bageshwar,
Uttarakhand and have never looked back since then.
YWAM is a faith based organisation where one does not get monthly salary rather has to find a sponsor for oneself. Therefore any sort of help – sponsorship, kind, manpower, etc is/will always be appreciated. They are currently situated at the YWAM Himalaya North Area and working at a Frontier Mission.
Frontier Mission is a region where the Gospel is not known yet. Therefore it is very hard to just preach the Gospel openly to those who are not even aware about it. That is why they are working through a kindergarten in Bageshwar to acquaint themselves and to slowly preach the Gospel. They have till today one believer amongst them. One of the neighbours has also started attending the church services while others are also slowly showing interest. He says that throughout his experience, the one thing that he has learnt was that "don’t let anything hold you back in fulfilling God’s purpose". Persevere till the very end and God will surely make a way for you.
