3. Pastor also talks about the traditional respect shown to elders/ parents since the pre-Christian era in Paite Zomi society, narrating...
✓ If a family member hunted a wild animal, he would first bring the dead body of that wild animal straight to the house of his eldest brother. From there, they started cutting and distributing the meat among the members of the the household council (inndongta).
✓ In terms of religion, our fore-fathers were animist, and they also believed in superstitions. However, the Gospel of Light reached southern Manipur in the year 1910 and, thus, we have now become a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. Hallelujah! As truly mentioned in 1 Pet. 2:10, we were once NOT a people but now we are the special people of God, and have obtained mercy.
✓ We should, therefore, cherish the Gospel that brought us out of darkness, and lead a life of Christ-likeness in all areas of our life through obedience (to our elders and parents daily). Let us read our Bible, pray every day, and adopt JESUS Culture, which is the best culture for us. Live, think and speak like JESUS.
✓ Finally, let us present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God; not confirming to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind daily. God bless you all!
