A Worship can only be Holy and Acceptable when one presents one’s body as a living sacrifice spiritually. This can only be done by a born again Christian, those who are one in Christ. So, one must first clarify who or what oneself is. Pretending to be something else will not make a difference regardless of how good the act might have been.
What it means to be born again
When a parson is in Christ, he is a new creation, born of the spirit, old things have passed away. Even Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a Jewish leader was also ignorant about the truth of being born again. It can
also be said that a born again man:
- will have a renewed mind
- is a transformed man
When someone is born again, one’s morality changes. What might have been through one’s own understanding of what’s right or wrong will now be influenced through Christ that dwells upon oneself thereby transforming one’s way of life. As found in The Bible when Jesus took with Him Peter, James and John, His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became white as light. Not only Him but they also knew the transformation and this is what it means by being transformed. Ones way of thinking will reflect one’s actions and one’s actions will reflect the light of Christ that dwells in oneself.
The conscience also referred to as the “Voice of God” will help one in living a righteous life and deliver oneself from temptations. As found in in the Book of Genesis, light and darkness can never occur together likewise once The Spirit dwells upon oneself there cannot be any compromise with the world and certain changes must be made.
One must catechize whether there are any changes in one’s morality, actions and will anyone see any transformation in oneself because in order for a worship to be holy and acceptable one must go back to the roots of worship and first acquire the vital factor which is being a born again person. Then and only then can one offer a Holy and Acceptable Worship.
