Theme: Gods Calling and The Mission Of Gospel
Farewell speech From Mrs. Pastor:
She expresses that their stay in Delhi will be cherished forever and also apologized on behalf of her family for any unintended wrong doings and wrapped up her speech with a Bible verse from Psalms 37:1-5
Speech from Pastor:
“What is God’s Calling? How it works and why you and me,” are some of the things he wishes to clarify through his speech and why one should never ignore this, as not everyone can receive this calling and that one should always help those in need.
His testimony (Bible references: Exodus 4:2,20; Ephesians 2:8-10): Through his testimony, he told us that we can waste our lives with the delusion of being one of God’s children but one must truly seek and surrender all of oneself to God to attain true salvation and to never deny it, if one so wishes for His Holiness.
His calling and Journey as a mission worker (Bible reference: Proverbs 10: 22): He went on to tell us how God changed his life long dreams and gave him an unending thirst to spread the Gospel to people who have not heard of it; absence of real self-conviction and longing by the youth in general and with much prayer he had sat out to this new journey God had planned for him.
The path had not been smooth; it was filled with temptation, soul wrecking incidents, sickness, etc. Despite these adversities, he sticks to his commitment knowing that God will never forsake his children and will keep them through rainy days and hard times. He added that God had not chosen us for something we are incapable of, rather as what we are and always blesses the ones who offer to Him what they have got.
Words of Exhortation: He further pointed out that
-With Christ as the center wheel we will find happiness and contentment in whatever we do.
-To not live our life imprecating those close to us for it will be our undoing.
-To not be boastful of one`s achievements but try and be a blessing to others.
His challenge to the youth of Delhi: He challenges that those of us who are not hindered by language barriers, with bright minds and familiar with the cultures of Delhi could do a load more for the Mission of Gospel here itself.
