MESSAGE : Upa Dr. B. Langkham
This morning I would like to talk about two things that are both real. And often the second one is ignored and hardly taken seriously. They are our physical world, physical body or our materialistic world and the other one of course is the presence of a spiritual world, a life beyond this world.
Our physical world is the stage between our birth and death, how we grow, develop and continue our existence on earth. Most often we knowingly ignore the presence of a life after death, which we call the spiritual life, endless eternal life. This is much more important and should be taken seriously as it is a matter of eternity. And as a Christian, Christmas time has been one of the best times, most important one. It is the day a child has been born to us to save us for all eternity.
In Isaiah 9:6-7, we see that the birth of Jesus Christ has been predicted many centuries back, how he will be known and named, the privileges of those who believe in him and the wrath and destruction of those who go against the will of God, the reward of living in sin, etc. It talks about Sodom and Gomorrah.
Shall we come back to the one who died for us at the Cross saying I am a sinner? If we do that, he will gladly and whole heartedly forgive us of our sins and give us eternal life. So, let us welcome this Christmas opening our homes and hearts being grateful to the Almighty God for giving us a baby boy named Jesus who died for us and gives us eternal life.
