Worship Team led the congregants in singing hymns of praises. Today’s program is dedicated as ‘Grace Bible College (GBC) Day’. Local Elder Thangson gives brief details and data of GBC as of today with the help of a projector and announces the various ways on how one can take partnership with GBC. GBC was inaugurated on 4th July 1981. Pastor then prayed a pastoral prayer for the congregants, which is usually done twice a month.
Today’s service is unique in a way that there is no single speaker. EBCC missions school teachers on tour to the city are given the privileges to speak whatever they feel like. Firstly, Elder S. Pumzatawn, headmaster of T. Khuangkhai Village, stands before the congregants, greets and reports that three of them came to the city on a ‘City Tour’ programme arranged by EBCC Central Delhi Church. He expresses his thankfully of the hearty welcome with garlands they received as they reached Delhi. He mentions how EBCC Delhi BYF’s ‘Project Nehemiah’ has contributed in rebuilding EBCC School at Behiangjang Village which was torn by storm years ago. He mentioned brief data of the school and emphasizes the need to give priority to mission schools in the remote and interior part of our land. He also expresses how fortunate he felt to be a part of this tour programme.
Mr. V. Chinpu, Headmaster of EBCC mission school, Khokawn, Mizoram then comes to the stage and greets the congregants. He reads a portion from Genesis chapter 12 from the Bible. He also expresses his gratitude for being selected to be a member of this tour programme. He gives thanks to God and EBCC Central Delhi for arranging this programme. He reports how they spend time here in Delhi during their short stay. He also gives brief details and data of EBCC mission school of Khokawn, Mizoram and church denominations that flourishes in the village. He tells, further that the youths in the village usually leave to other towns for better prospects and career.
Elder S. Chinzapau, Headmaster of EBCC mission school, Teikhang, Mizoram also comes to the stage and greets the congregants. He tells that mission workers were transferred from one posting to another and his present posting Teikhang happens to be his 5th posting. He also mentions about the contributions of Project Nehemia for the construction of EBCC mission school in Lungthul village. He also expresses his gratitude for being selected to be a member of this tour programme. He gives thanks to God and EBCC Central Delhi for arranging this programme. He reports how they came all the way from home.
