Mr. LB Muan, founder of Rebuild and Restore, is a counsellor and a mission worker. He recounted how difficult life had been as the young son of a Pastor, and how he would resent the idea of him following in the footsteps of his father until in 1998 he became born again and his life took a turn. Having obtained his M.Div. degree, he was torn between getting into counselling and setting out on mission. Eventually, Rebuild and Restore, an inter-denominational counselling centre, came to be in 2013 based out of Sangam Vihar, Delhi. Mr. Muan has plans to take more mission workers to their mission centre in Uttarakhand, and also set up counselling centres in Manipur.
Upa T Gou Khangin, on 2 Timothy 2:20, talked about the need for us to cleanse ourselves first for the Lord to use us. While the Church’s greatest mission is to praise and worship the Lord, and to spread the Word of God, there is a need to be cautious in the way we use music as a tool. The speaker made a reference to the writing by Thomas Lessing titled “Christian music: Compromising God’s standards to accommodate the youth.” There is too a limit to how we utilize social media in our Christian life. Everybody anticipates Christmas Day and for different reasons. The speaker exhorted all to ready ourselves to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ with knowing well the purpose for his birth, which is to sacrifice himself for the sins of the world.
