Matthew 16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it
The speaker commence by saying that Ebcc delhi is a church built by God as it is evidenced in the infrastructure God has given us, the increased in the number of members or transfer growth. God has also always given us church leaders in time. The speaker also says that God is good for us as he showers his blessings not only through seen things but also unseen things.
He further described what a Church built by God is
- Always based its teachings from the scriptures only
-feeling of oneness and togetherness
-desiring spiritual growth
-working for His kingdom without any conflict
-church built by God has love for people
-shows faithfulness in prayer,worship and offerings
-does not stumble infront of its enemy
Therefore church built by God has a good foundation.
He proceeded by listing the early seven churches of Asia to which Jesus instructs to send a message. The message contains commendations, rebuke, solutions and the consequences of rebuke. The seven churches are Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. Lessons taken from these early seven churches are to preach the gospel and do the work first, be zealous, to be faithful till the end and do not give up, do not tolerate false teachings, hold fast and keep Christ’s words till the end, repent of complacency ,compromise and materialism. The speaker concluded his message by referring to the books of acts where churches prayed together in unity, shared what they have, proclaimed the word of God and attract new believers.
