He then acknowledged the presence of first-timers at this church and also announced that Upa T.Thianzakham invites the church members to grace the marriage ceremony of his son, Mr. T.Pauthianmuang, with Ms. Ngaikhannem d/o Mr. N. Ginkhanchin on 24th Feb. 2017 at 1:00pm at EBCC Delhi Church. Pastor presented a small gift to Rev. (Retd.) L. Kham Kholun. The enrollment for the ensuing Salvation Camp for the youth is still open.

Rev. (Retd.) L. Kham Kholun delivered sermon based on the Scripture portion from 2 Kor 13:5, 1 Kor 15:1-3 and 2 Kor 6:1-2. He stressed on the importance of knowing where one stands before God and accepting Christ as one’s personal saviour. Eternity has no ending and if we do not belong to the Lord we are bound to face eternal punishment in Hell. We need to examine ourselves whether we are the children of God. He also briefly mentioned about his past life before accepting Christ. Baptism does not make one a new creature in Christ. Rather, it’s a manifestation of one’s acceptance of Jesus Christ. One cannot become the children of God because of one’s own good deeds.Three steps before one can accept Christ are:- 1). Conviction of sin, 2). Repentence and 3). Acceptance of Christ through faith. We should come to the Lord without waiting for we don’t know when it gets too late. Natural calamities happens without any warning. We are at present in the era of grace. We don’t know when this will come to an end. Satan never stops tempting us. The door for our salvation may soon be closed. So, youths must get themselves enrolled in the ensuing salvation camp. Don’t miss the opportunity. Be prepared to die anytime and live for God’s glory when you get the opportunity.
