Sunday Worship Service
EBCC, Dwarka
The pastor led the congregation in prayer .After which the congregation offered mass prayer.
The worship team led the congregation in singing hymns of praise to the Lord. Elder Thiankhanmuan thank the Lord for the Sunday’s offering collected .The Pastor delivered the message for the Lord’s Day taking passages from Psalm 133:1-3.
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity” Psalm 133:1
“It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes”Psalm 133:2
“It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life for evermore” Psalm 133:3
The theme of “Unity” was stressed by the pastor, which is the need of the hour. Being Christian is more than just about going to church on Sunday’s, giving tithe, offering but also how we act towards our fellow brethren. How much empathy we have for others other than just being self-centered is what defines us as Christians. A just society is where everyone lives in harmony with each other. In this fast pace life, we have become so competitive that we no longer have compassion whatsoever for our fellow beings. We, the Zomis have to travel along the path of unity for the betterment of our society. We have to realize the fact that what cause rift among us are worldly things and pleasure of the flesh, if we go beyond the temptations that we face everyday and I admit it is hard to resist, if we strengthen our spirituality and learn to be content with what we have, then “UNITY” will not be just a five letter word for us. In our spiritual life too, unity with the Lord is very important. Let us follow the example of Nehemiah who was ready to face any obstacles to “REBUILT THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM”. Let us all endeavour to rebuilt our spirituality, ourselves, our people, our society.
We are living in this Worldly World and money, having a healthy bank balance is important but let us not let these worldly things supercede or make us compromise our spirituality. After delivering his message the pastor welcome guests who had come to the worship service.
The service concluded with benediction by the pastor.
