Worship Service Write-up

Easter Sunday Service | 31 March 2024 | 2:00 PM

The worship team led the congregation in a spirit filled praise and worship to the Almighty and Ordained Elder Thangkhosiam Tonsing dedicated the offerings.

Sis. Rebec Ngaimuankim then presented a melodious song ' Nuamlua ing', the song is about being grateful as God has been always with us in our lives.

And the much awaited item, the sermon by Pa Thangzasiam Paite.
He preached about following topics on why we must seek God.
He talked about how we humans can never live without God. Deep down inside our hearts no one can bear the absence of God in our lives. But due to life struggles or due to an unanswered prayers humans may out of disappointments can have thoughts like God is nothing, useless and may even doubt the existence of God. Nevertheless, these thoughts are just the reflection of why we need Him more.

In Psalms 14:1 it is written, The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
We need God, humans are insignificant and also as James 4:14 says, Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. God does not need us, we need Him.

As much as we cared for our loved ones, God also cared for us. We can prove it from the verses Psalms 8:3 - 4 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
We need to seek God, at one point of time He may give up on you. It is also written in Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
We must go beyond our comfort zone, go an extra mile to seek Him. We must run towards him for He is our refuge. The preaching ended with a prayer.

It was followed by a prize distribution on an essay competition which was conducted some weeks back by the BYF committee. The committee gave an appreciation gifts to all participants as well.

Then the BYF choir presented a beautiful hymn 'Hotdamna A Hon Tun Ta' which was about the wonderful gospel on how Jesus who died on the cross in Calvary has given us salvation. The service came to an end with a prayer and benediction by Ordained Elder Tuanmuanthang.

The door of our church is always widely open for all, you can always step inside and experience the joy of fellowship with God's wonderful people and be blessed.
