Almighty. Ordained elder T. Songzalian dedicated the offerings to God.
BYF Chairman Kapgoulian welcomed the congregation and the freshers i,e. youths who
came to Delhi from 1 st September 2021 till date. Reading out Psalms 37:5 & 7, he asked the
youths to commit their ways to the Lord. Thereafter, Margaret and Sanmawi presented a
special number followed by Siambiakkim & friends. BYF Secretary introduced the freshers
numbering 53 in all. Gifts were presented to 26 freshers who could turn up for the
programme.
Reading out Proverbs 3:5-7 and Joshua 3:3-4, Pastor Lamkhanthang exhorted the freshers to
trust God, lean not on their own understanding and fix their eyes on the Lord while
remaining in close touch with the church during their stay in Delhi. He then committed them
to the Lord in prayer. Thereafter, special numbers were presented by an all Men’s choir,
Dorcas quartet and Bersarai-JNU-Vasant Vihar Area fellowship.
TBUC Chairman, ordained elder Kamsuanthang gave the exhortation speech. He said that
life is a combination of time and choice. Though there is never enough time to do everything,
there is enough time to do the things important to us. We need to prioritize what is important
and make the most of our time. Life is also made up of a series of moments. Great
opportunities came to us brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. We can turn the
difficulties we are facing into great opportunities. As it is written in Matthew 19:26, Mark
10:27 and Phillipians 4:13, all things are possible with God. Time can become our ally or
enemy. We can make time our ally by forming good habits. In his book titled ‘Atomic
Habits’, James Clear writes that if we do certain things for 2 minutes every day, it can
become a habit. It is very important to make the right choice for though we are free to
choose, we are not free to escape from the consequences of our choice. For making the right
choice, we need to ask God who is our Maker and author of our life.
Young people also need to know the truth about truth. False ideas about truth leads to false
ideas about life. Truth is absolute. The most impactful truth is God’s word. No other person
has impacted the world like Jesus or the Bible. Jesus says in John 14:6 that He is the way,
the truth and the life.

Just as the natural tendency of water is to flow downwards, human beings have the natural
tendency to sin. But the grace of God is at work in our lives. Even our desire to do good is
the work of the Holy Spirit. Phillipians 2:13 says that it is God who works in us both to will
and do for His pleasure. It is also written in Joel 2:25, God can restore our wasted years. He
is sovereign over our lives. We should not limit Him but walk closely with Him.
Special number from the worship team followed and ordained elder T Thianzakham closed
the First Session of the Programme with a benediction.

SECOND SESSION

The Second Session started with praise and worship session. Special numbers were
presented by Nu Neihkim, BCD teachers and Ms Nemsiam. Ordained elder Khamkhanpau
gave a short speech regarding humility and fear of the Lord. He said that if we want the
blessings of God, we need to belong to Him. As believers who received Jesus Christ, we
should allow ourselves to be led by Him and praise Him with deep contentment and
satisfaction in all our ways. Thereafter, special numbers from Double Quartet and Ms.
Vunglianmawi followed.
Asst. Secy, BYF gave the highlights for the retreat programme scheduled to be held from 15-
18 September at Sattal, Uttarakhand. Thereafter, Kishangarh–Mahipalpur-Munirka Area
Fellowship presented a special number. After a round of praise and worship led by the
worship team, ordained elder Chinsum closed the Session with a prayer and benediction.
