Introductory

The Speaker praise the worship team and mission committee for such a selfless service and commitment they have irrespective of their age in which the role they played. He made a special greeting to all the mothers and praise them for their responsibility, all the mothers are being reminded that they have their own speciality and bravery in bringing up their children as well as at home. He talked about two greatest gift of God, the first being ‘a new day’, secondly ‘life’. So let us thank the lord once again for his blessing

Bible Reference : 2 Corinthians 8 : 1 – 5, 9 : 6 – 9, 12-15, 1 Corinthians 15 : 58, Acts 16 : 6-10.

When Paul know the call of the Macedonia, he headed straight forward to that place in the morning. There, we can witness that he had taken up a great service and successful in his doing. The generosity of the Macedonian was reiterated by Paul to the Corinthians. As the Bible says that one who saw less yield less and who saw more yield more. But here, we should not forget that one must give in accordance with his heart, not to what he have and that is what matters to God. When we gives gift, it helps the needy and the lord’s people in one way or the other. Gift again is a form of trial by the lord, we know that things we do for God never goes in vain. He told the congregation not to take it in the wrong way when he talked about gift/contribution, it is not that he is pleading or insisting all of us to give a handsome amount rather by our own conscience, he said. How do we wanted to be remembered after our death? What contribution do we made in the sphere of the mission of the gospel? Or in another sense, With what statement do we want to end our life? So in order to be valuable he invited the mass to participate in contribution for the church. After this he told a real life incident of one of the missionary presently working at the field of Demaji. It was about how helpful our contribution is to the needy person in times. We should be grateful to God because he allowed us to take part in his mission of the Gospel. He said that the greatest gift of God is his only son, Jesus. In return Jesus don’t have anything to give so he alter himself in order to take part in the missions of the lord. The speaker told us that they use to give a memento to those missionary who catch a lost soul prior to his missions, he further says that all the things that they do were nothing in comparision to the prize that we will get in heaven, this should remind us about the written record that the lord is keeping for us, not the worldly records. In the mission of God we are not in a competition with one another for the first prize, if that is the case all the apostle in the Bible would’ve taken the prize, no room for people like us but we race at our own account with our own pace to reach a point, the promised land. All these are our part as the sons and daughters of the lord, He will play his part whenever he feel necessary not for us to decide. Prayer is also a key helper to the missionary working in the field so he exhorted the masses to pray incessantly wherever we are, he mention some of the cons they were facing right now, they are land acquisition, the people, burial of death etc. These are some prayer points suggested by the speaker. He told the masses not to forget our privilege and blessings from God and exhorted to walk extra mile in the perimeter of the God’s mission, to end his speech he make a call for those who are ready to take up extra contribution in whatever they do, start afresh in the mission of the gospel and prayed for them.

MV commitment was taken up by vice Chairman, TBMC. The Mission committee had launched two type of this and distributed among the mass 1. Missionary Brouchers(by EBCC GHQ) and 2. Commitment paper (i.e to give in cash or kind).

Closing prayer – Upa T Thianzakham
