Day message by Rev Paununsang, FS

Rev Paununsang started his speech by greeting the congregation on behalf of all the missionary and his Family. He said that he is very grateful to be here with all of us and told that our love and obey for God can be witness through our friendly conduct towards people like him and give all the glory to God.There is not much difference to the Macedonian call by God to Apostle Paul and missionary like Watkin Robert that brings light of the gospel to us. He describe how this call of Macedonia was made by God although Paul’s first intention was not on the side of Macedonia.

A short report about Demaji mission field, tribes that the church is presently engage with and vision of the church after we left them, the pros and cons, challenges and difficulties of the work is made known to us by the speaker.

Bible references : ACTS 16 : 1 – 12

The speaker talk about the importance of the missionary day especially for us saying that it brings not only the light of the gospel but with multiple privilege, spiritually and physically, whether in the sphere of education, cleanliness etc. With all this privilege that we got, at the same time we have to be useful for the lord in many ways. It is important to keep the fire of the gospel burning, taking the call of Macedonian personally and started within our home, so that the generation to come will follow our foot step, not wither away in the process of developing era. He exhorted the mass to open our heart in order to hear the call of God as he did to Paul. Everyone is a missionary in whatever we do, we should work tirelessly on the mission of God because if we do not, it is of grave danger if the gospel ends with our generation. In another words mission is doing and serving for others not for us which implies whatever we do for ourself ends with us but whatever we do for other live eternally. Perhaps there will be times when we need to do things outside of the box(family) so that we can help people. Therefore It is important for us to abide by the mission of the gospel and to have the clear sight view in our spiritual eyes of the Lord’s mission  that Jesus Christ, the first ever missionary had left it for us to follow his steps, this can be again label as the call of the Macedonia just like what God did to Paul therefore  We are afraid to do things in the opposite to what God wanted us to, the speaker once again reminded us that all the things the we have is from God and it is risky to conduct our blessing at our own will that can place us in a peril situation. Lastly, to sum up the message he exhorted us to use, go and work according to God wanted us.
