SACRIFICATION
In the eyes of the Lord, sacrifice might not be the most admiring thing but the truth that comes from within is the foremost important for worshipping him.
Micah has delivered three important messages:
- The evil things of society
- The right way of worshipping
- The wrong dependency
Even though Micah was aware that the wrath of God will fall upon Jerusalem, he was still sad as he knew the sins that are going to rise within Jerusalem.
#Micah 1:8- In this verse, some of Micah's wrath had been written.
#Micah 3:1- In this verse, It is about the disastrous scene of Jerusalem, where the poor were kept down, and the ones who hold power does not rule with righteousness. And it has been written that the poor people had been kept inside a pot to boil and eat them like meat.
#Micah 3:5, In this verse, we can see that the prophets had lead astray the people whereby they disgust and jeer people who does not provide them.
#Micah 3:10, In this verse, it is about "force security", and Jerusalem was built with iniquity, Zion with blood, and the heads judge others to receive rewards, the priests teach for hire, the prophets divine for money, yet, they will lean upon the Lord and questioned if the Lord is among them, none evil can come upon them.
The Pastor continue to say that, just like that, if we have faith in Jesus Christ, it is enough, and our position is eventually the same.
#In Micah Chapter6 and 7, even if the sacrifice of human beings are big, in the mind of God, it's not first about the sacrifice.
In chapter 6, no materials are needed for worshipping God.
In Micah 7:4, materials for worshipping God does not necessarily bring him gratitude.
In continuation, The Pastor also added that our rights sometimes pierce others, and the things we like about ourselves is disgusting. And in order to worship God the right way, it is important to know our sins and keep them away.
Our sacrifice does not always make God happy but he is happy through the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made and thereof, Jesus Christ died and sacrificed it for you. And when you turn away from your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your saviour, that is Salvation.
To conclude, the Pastor has advised and asked the people to be the children of God where they do not indulge in any sin.
