Welcome Program of Pastor T Lamkhanthang | 23 January 2022 | 11 AM

1. Elder Ngulminthang welcomed the congregation online and read aloud Jacob 4:8. He mentioned how blessed and grateful we are to have Pastor S Khamkhanchin and new Pastor T Lamkhanthang amidst the pandemic and uncertain times. He opened the service with a prayer.

2. Blessing of offerings by Elder Thianzakham followed thereafter.

3. Elder H Kamsuanthang delivered the welcome address for Pastor T Lamkhanthang. The address highlighted how grateful we are to HQ for giving us New Pastor at the right time without delay. We are also indeed privileged to have Pastor S Khamkhanchin for EBC Zion and Pastor Lamkhanthang for EBC Delhi to lead and guide us for the next few years. Both Pastors are really sound in their theological background and have a wide range of experiences which we would be nurtured with. We look forward to fellowship and guidance under their leadership in Christ.

4. Pastor S Khamkhanchin delivered a sermon:

  • I am grateful for this opportunity to speak to you after I had gone away for further studies in 2010 from our church, EBC Delhi. Now, I will be looking after EBC Zion in Lamka. I personally thanked Pastors, Elders and members who had taken the trouble of arranging the necessary logistics for our arrival at the Airport from USA.
  • EBCC Delhi has really grown over the years in spirit and congregation. There is no doubt that Pastors are guided by the Lord in their role as a shepherd for the Church.
  • Psalm 73 talks about the struggle of a person going through life. Dismayed by success of the non-righteous and sufferings of the Righteous, a person often does not realize the slippery slope on which he/she stands. Sin and Evil are predominant and it is easy to get swayed by them. But, ultimately the book ends with the conviction that a person should abide by God. This is very apt for our Christian life and we should not covet and be jealous of non-believers. We should not judge one another and leave Judgment to God. We should learn how blessed and fortunate we are to be called God’s children just as the person concluded in the end.

5. Pastor T Lamkhanthang delivered a sermon:

  • Our family had reached Delhi on 19th January, 2022 and I thanked the Lord for providing the Church with dedicated members guided by the Pastor. My background details can be found here
  • 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 talked about the humility of Paul towards serving the Church and I wanted to say the same to the congregation today. I know how blessed I am to be here in EBC Delhi to work with you all in Christ. And I want us to know that the Grace of God is sufficient for all of us.
  • It is worth emphasizing how we plan to spend 2022 as a Believer in Christ or if we are not yet saved by the Lord’s Grace. It is only through the love of God that we must work together for the Glory of God. And it is my greatest desire that we emulate the love of God in our interactions and dealings with one another.
  • We should correct each other with love including myself. We should only look up to the Lord and not anyone else. My greatest fear is not whether I have found favour in men but rather if I do not found favour in the Lord.

6. Benediction by Elder T Songzalian
