Sermon by Pastor G Khankham

“FORGIVENESS”

  • What is Good Friday to you? Hebrew 1:1-2, 1 Peter 2:24-25 We are forgiven and redeemed because of sacrifice by Jesus Christ despite our sins and transgressions.
  • We are lost, sinful and wicked but God sent his only son to walk on Earth and suffer and take the consequences of our sins so that we may be saved. Jesus knew no sin (Isaiah book)
  • It is not easy to ask for forgiveness even from our wife, family members and people. But Jesus came and stand before God as advocate for our sins. 1 John 1:2
  • We do not need to go ask for God’s forgiveness or offer animals for atonement of our sins. Jesus did all of this for us by offering himself on the Cross.
  • How precious is Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for us as we are saved and redeemed by it! Even, now Jesus sits near God and pleaded for our sins and bear a witness for us.
  • “It is done!” is the most beautiful words that Jesus said on completion of redemption for us. What would have happened if redemption is not complete?
  • Peaceful death is exhibited by Jesus at the cross when he said “I gave my life to you
  • We Christians are really blessed by God’s redemption through his son Jesus Christ. Let us realise and thank God for his sacrifice on this Good Friday.
