# Sermon by Pa. H. Lamthianmuan : Jesus; the mediator of the New Covenant

  • The undefiled blood of Jesus, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel, is our confidence; the mediator of a New Covenant; between the holy God and the fallen man (Hebrews 12:24)
  • God sent Jesus to save us from every curse that sin brought: spiritual, physical, behavioural, mental, etc and reversed the curse into blessing, such as, spiritual gifts just like Jesus which will all be manifested by faith, on our path to bearing witnesses as children of God( Matthew 10:7,8).
  • God sent Jesus without asking man’s opinion, and decided on a ransom to please himself, not based on- our works, how much we could recall our sins, how good we behave, signs and wonders, etc, but by Grace through faith, which is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
  • Head knowledge of the existence of God will not get one saved, but faith from conviction by the Holy Spirit, in accordance with the truth from bible verses (John 3:16) will save us.Being bought with such great price, to the extent of death, we are so valuable to God and therefore, he expects us to follow his footsteps and bear witness wherever we are ( Mark 16: 15).
  • Jesus came to save the ‘lost’ ; who are aware that they are lost in sin and needed God to save them (Luke 19:10). As a member of the church, one must be in faith and bear witness and should not be like Nicodemus, who was not aware of the truth ( John 3: 6-8) .
  • Just as Jesus remained silent in front of Pilate for the sake of saving the fallen mankind, being a witness of the Gospel involves humility.
  • A life of being a witness is therefore, a life of repentance and self-reflection which will make no time for us to judge others, and thus, a continuous fellowship with God through the presence of the Holy Spirit which will remind us of the riches of God’s Grace that saved us.

#Pastor G.Khankham dedicated the Pledge cards which was followed by distribution of the same by the Tualsung Baptist  Missions Committee.

# Special worship song  was presented by N.Thangkhanhau, Momoi & Kikim (Title:  The Reason that I’m standing).

# The service was wrapped up with thanksgiving by Upa. T. Thianzakham.
