Sermon by Elder Dr B Langkham

  • A year has almost passed since the pandemic has stalled Church service. Today, we are privilege and grateful to be able to praise God once again and come together in the name of the Lord.
  • To make disciple of all nation is the calling of everyone. Are your children, brothers, sisters, father and mother ready to follow the footstep of Jesus Christ? Mark 16:15
  • Do we really put God as our 1st priority? We should love the Lord with our all heart, soul and mind.
  • Do we love our neighbour as we love ourselves? We are secured and redeemed by Lord Jesus. What about our Neighbours? Do they have the same peace of mind that we have?
  • Victory over evil can be seen in the lives of our missionaries who served across the country. It is very important to be guided by Holy Spirit and continuous prayer.
  • We are indeed blessed by God and have contributed in many ways though tithes, Mission offerings, Food offerings, BYF Project- Nehemiah Project, Relief and donation to IEM, FMPB, MVM, YWAM etc
  • We should focus on “Prayer for Missionaries”. At Individual level we can search for the lost in our society and within the church itself.
  • Circulation such as Kristian Thukizakna, Church magazines, Mission bulletin I, II, III, IM and FMPB has missionaries listed for prayer support. Even in whatsapp we can find their details. We need to read though these publications and pray more for them because they are the ones who go to the lost on our behalf.
  • When should we pray? Morning or daily devotion, On our way to office or Before starting work, Before sleeping, and Fasting prayer.
  • How to pray for them? a) The guidance of Holy spirit b) Physical and spiritual health and needs c) Their prayer for healing of the sick and helpless d) Well-being and welfare for their children e) Insufficient finance to meet their needs.
  • We pay to God though Church but Church is just the medium and we should focus on what we give for God and his ministry.
