SERMON: Ms. DONZACHIIN FMPB MISSIONARY

First of all she gave thanks to the Lord, the elders and the congregation for the constant support and prayers and blessings. She also expressed her sincere thanks for being given the opportunity to share the word of God.

Before she began, she read out a few bible verses from the following:-

Ephesians 5:15-17
2 Timothy 2:1
Romans 15:20

She began her sharing by acknowledging how grateful we people are. Because, in the midst of lakhs of non-believers and unknown places, the Lord has chosen us to spread the Gospel, living word of God.

Initially when she received Jesus Christ as her saviour, she never thought that she would one day work as a missionary. Though she was a dedicated and sincere follower, so she decided to contribute for the glory of God in all possible ways instead of becoming a full time worker. When she was in the 10th standard, there was a Youth Seminar where she was one of the resource persons. But, during this, she realized that there was nothing in her to give out that would touch others so she prayed for help and the Lord rebuked her by calling her a false re-born, which she was not ready to accept, but it was the reality. She became anxious and so she surrendered before Him, praying for 3 continuous days and found her true calling and became a true born again.

In 1991- when FMPB was recruiting, she saw it as a perfect opportunity. She decided to enrol and was eventually selected. Since, she was working in the PWD department taking a final call was difficult for her. While serving her notice period, she almost tempted to continue with her job and sharing half of her salary towards the cause of the missionaries. But, the Lord gave her assurance through his words in the Bible and she could finally make a concrete stand to become a missionary.

Becoming a missionary was not a cake walk. Everything was new and being a north-eastern Hindi was a big problem for her. A training program supposedly for a year was stretched to 1 year and 3 months for her. Slowly but firmly with the help of the Lord, she could find her ways whenever faced with difficult and uncertain situations. They function out of hospitals and schools in the areas. She narrated how the Lord has protected, provided and guided her when she was confronted with possessed people, when she forgot her belonging in a bus and many other such situations.

While sharing her experiences she also highlighted the need of missionary at this age and challenges the youths to join the missionary work. She finishes her sharing by thanking everyone for their support and makes a request for further support in future as well especially through prayers.
