Bible References-

Genesis 12:1-4, Galatians 3:13-14

In order to be a blessing for others, we need to have a right mindset, shaped by the word of God.When we were born again, we have a feeling in our heart that our purpose is to serve Him. We should follow that feeling and serving Him should always be our objective. We should always pray, have a desire for God’s word and read the Bible, and not merely depend on others’ sermon or teaching. As parents, we can be a blessing for our children, a person whom our children get their trust and blessings.

Abram obey the Lord. As the Lord had told him Abram left his country, people and his father’s household for Canaan. Like Abram, we have much to leave behind, our family, dear and loved ones, our old way of life and habits, if we want to be a blessing for others.

God has created us for a purpose. God has put you where you are now for a purpose. He says that he himself was blind and could not see but he knew well that God have a purpose for him. He followed that conviction. Abram was 75 years old when he set out from Haran. We may be old or young, might live for long or for a short period, but we ought to live for others and be a blessing.

People do not love the Cross by itself but because it is where Jesus laid down his life for us, a sign of God’s love. Likewise, when we are truly in Jesus, people will love us as they will see Jesus in our lives
