Good Friday Message and Holy Communion Service

Minister : Pastor N. Tuanglang

Theme : Marvelous Death, Priceless Death

Bible References: Matthew 27:45-54, Hebrews 9:1-7, 11-14, 24-26

There are many deaths that are considered marvelous but none is comparable to the death of Jesus on the Cross.

I. Why the death of Jesus is considered marvelous?
 After Jesus died on the Cross, darkness came all over the land for three hours.
 The temple veil was torn in two from top to bottom.
 The earth shook. Never ever in history the earth shook because of the death of a person but it happened at the time of Jesus’ death.
 The rocks split
 The tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

II. Why the death of Jesus is priceless?
 The temple veil broke in two from top to bottom. The veil separates the Holy of Holies—the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence from the rest of the temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin. Only the high priest was permitted to pass beyond this veil once each year to enter into God's presence and make atonement for sins. Jesus’ death removes the barriers between God and man, and now everyone can pray and asked forgiveness directly to Him, without the priest intervention.

After the Message, Pastor N. Tuanglang administers the Holy Communion Service.
