A brief report on NECTAR: NECTAR [ Northeast Center for Training and Research] was formed in 2004 with the vision to spread the word of the gospel to the very depths of the world. it is currently seeking to accomplish the vision through 3 strategic endeavours: 1. TESOL 2.CCT (Cross Cultural Training)  3.MTBT (Mother Tongue Bible Translation)

One can always contribute in the following ways: 1.by praying  2.by donating  3.by applying or training under us.

SERMON: Being a special day today we had a guest speaker from NECTAR, Rev.S.Nengzakhup.

Bible Verse: Mark 1:17 "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

His sermon was on how we always have to spread the word of Gospel at all times. How we have to fulfil the purpose of our existence which is to spread the word of God at all times. This is the command written in the Bible that Jesus left for us to obey as Christians. We should at all times be alert to be able to serve the purpose of our life. We can do this anywhere and anytime -

Workplace- Here we come across different kinds of people in our everyday lives. Here we can spread the word of the gospel through our actions i.e., being a believer and follower of Christ it will reflect in our actions. If our actions differ from the rest of the crowd then they will see His reflection in us and would be convinced and they will automatically believe in the one we follow without even preaching to them. The actions itself will do all the talking.

Housewives - Here also we come across different types of neighbours. Here we can do the work by helping the neighbours those who are in need of help and try to be friendly with them and then slowly try to talk with them about Christ little by little.

We should never feel limited rather broaden our horizons. We should not only confine to the church and its offerings. The Gospel will not spread by only concentrating on going to church and its activities, it will be effective once we decide to help the needy and the helpless. Then only we will be able to store treasure for ourselves in heaven. It is the time that we concentrate on others around us rather than concentrating on our needs. This is how we will be able to spread the word of Gospel. We need to follow Jesus' ways so that we may also become fishers of men, and that we may be able to be his witnesses all over the world. So let us start afresh on this Missionary Day to be vigilant and to work our minds 24*7 on spreading the gospel and be fishers of men. And serve our only purpose on Earth.

The service came to an end with the Pastoral Prayer and the benediction by Pastor N.Tuanglang.
