BIBLE VERSE -  I Corinthians 15

The Resurrection of Christ is the completion and foundation of the GOSPEL.  The fact that JESUS CHRIST died for our sins, was buried and rose in victory on the third day according to the scriptures(I Corinthians 15:3,4) forms the very basic principle of the Gospel. The faith of us believers rest on this truth of the Scripture. Had there been no resurrection of Christ, the very foundation of the Christian faith would be meaningless. Our sermons, our camps, fellowships, our faith, our hope and our death  would be meaningless if there was no resurrection.

Youngsters and many people today hold the notion that death would end their pain or depression. That is not true. There is hope in His Resurrection.

The Lord is concerned about us. He wants to come to us and grant us a new hope and a new life if we believe in HIm and buy the Gospel with all our heart. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow. Because He lives, we have life after death. Our loved ones aren't gone forever. They are going to welcome us home when we get to heaven and we shall be together in heaven forever.

We can find numerous quotations on The Bible that tell us that Jesus is going to rule after His resurrection. The disciples themselves didn't believe He resurrected until they saw HIM with their naked eye. John's family didn't believe the Gospel. John however remained adamant on His faith. Will we be able to do the same?

Despite numerous church destructions and violence against Christians in and around the world, the good news is that we are still victorious because HE lives! The hardships and the commitments we have made for Christ will not go in vain. The sting of death is gone when Jesus overcame the grave.

According to the scriptures, the resurrection appearances of Jesus after his crucifixion were witnessed by Mary Magdalene and other women, the ten disciples, the two disciples on the Emmaus road, Peter, 500 plus disciples, John, Thomas, Jacob and Apostles. ( Mark 16:7, Luke 24:34, Mark 16:9, John 20:1-2,14..Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-11, Luke 24:13-35, John 20:26-31,Luke 24:36-49,John 20:19-23, I Corinthians 15:6,Mark 6:3-4, John 7:5, Acts 15:13,19-20. )

Therefore, beyond our hardships and death, we believers of Christ now have a new life in Jesus Christ who is the first fruit of all creation. Like our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall rise from death. By his power, we shall be transformed. Our lowly bodies will be transformed so that they will be like His glorious body.  With the power of Christ in us, there is no fear in death. (2Corinthians 5:1, Phil 3:21 )

" BECAUSE HE LIVES, I CAN FACE TOMORROW. BECAUSE HE LIVES, ALL FEAR IS GONE. BECAUSE I KNOW, YES I KNOW HE HOLDS THE FUTURE AND LIFE IS WORTH THE LIVING JUST BECAUSE HE LIVES!!! "
