Brief summary of sermon by Pastor Nenglian:
Acceptance of the Bible (Canon)
2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 66:2
The Lord favours and rejoices on people who are humble, sincerely remorseful and who tremble at His word. The Bible is the living word of God. Whatever is in the Bible originated from the Lord and was written by individuals who were moved by the Holy Spirit. The contents of the Bible (39 books in Old Testament and 27 books in New Testament) were canonized during 363 – 397 AD. The Bible is to be acknowledged and affirmed as the true word of God since it can induce realization of sin before God and develop confidence in Jesus Christ making us faithful disciples. We may not realize the power of the Bible if we try to accept it merely by human approach. Rather, we must accept that the Bible is given to us by the Spirit of the Lord by using humans as the medium/instrument.
