v1-10
As Christ died and newly form a life through the glory of the Father, we ought to do the same. Our sinful self must be crucified with Jesus. As resurrected Jesus and death is dealt away with, He live a life for God. So also, as we have been freed from the slave of sin, our life should reflect the glory of God. We cannot partake a sinful life with a holy life. One has to go away. Our baptized with Christ in His death must express an intended outcome of sanctification and righteousness.
v. 11-14
It has become clear now that we are no longer in bondage to the control of indwelling sin in our lives. This new live must be a Christ dominated life. Our desires, appetite, needs and wants must satiate the glory of God.
v.15-23
We have a choice. To be the instrument of sin or righteousness. We are under Grace meaning when no one can surpassed the righteous requirements put forth by God, Christ did. And it is up to us to cling onto Him. To hold onto Him dearly so that we reap His Holiness and eternal life.
