Bible verse - Luke 22:18-19 And he took bread and gave thanks and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body given for you; this do in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Pastor introduced his speech by reading the chosen verse and gave us his deep thoughts on the last supper, that Jesus pre-planned it wisely and also longed for this time with his disciples saying that this is the last super he will have with them before he went through what is coming to his life but also mentioned that there will be a day when they meet in the kingdom of God
And this is a promise to us, of hope, that even when our live has ups and downs, turmoil and breakdowns; there will come a day when we all gathered in that kingdom of God in flesh with Him. This is a promise to us, through flesh and blood, sacrificing his life for us.
As Jesus is wounded, bruised and his flesh breaks from him, his body is shattered for our sins and He gave us a new life as his blood is shed. He is the truth of life, the way to heaven.
A broken bread
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our inequities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.
His fleshed shattered and wounded for our lives and peace
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruised him, he hath put him to grief; when thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
That we will have a new testament in blood and have eternal peace
The call of our Lord is for our brokenness and repentance and giving our all.
-that we may bring life and peace to others
-that being broken and seeking Jesus should be our priority (Mark 14:3-9) like the Apostle of Paul and Peter
-if a man should think himself of something, he is deceiving himself (Galatians 6:3) that thinking yourself of greatness is self-deceiving and dirty in the eye of the Lord. He needs us to be broken, down to earth that we may be blessings to million
You may think lowly of yourself or how incapable before his eye but if you come to him with brokenness and putting your everything, he will bless you.
An overflow of life
Our Lord Jesus gave his life, pay our sins with his blood and take away our brokenness so we may have a new life, a new testament through his blood (1John 1:7)
Matthew 16:25 when you cleanse yourself and do what the Lord wants, keeping Him first, seeking his kingdom, not dwelling in the earthly things leaving his own interests and repent his seen will find Him. For his blood has been shed for us.
Above all else, being broken and repenting in the name of our Lord Jesus bring sound of peace.
As Jesus break the bread and give to his disciples, and pour their cups saying that it is his flesh shattered and his blood shed for them, let us give ourselves, or life unto him
