Sunday Worship Service | 02 February 2025 | 3:00 PM
The worship team opened the afternoon service with hymnals and the congregation joined in the worship session. The offerings of the day were dedicated to the Lord by Elder Chinsum. As it was the start of a new month, Pastor Dr. Suankhanhau led the pastoral prayer over the church. The following segment was set aside for a baby dedication.
Evangelist G. Biakson from Jordan EBCC was then invited to share a few words with the congregation. He introduced himself and his family, expressing his gratitude for the support he received. He also shared that his work was based in Arunachal and concluded with a heartfelt appreciation for the church’s prayers and continual support.
Pastor Dr. Suankhanhau was the speaker for the day. He covered Lesson 2 of the Sunday School book, centering around Ephesians 1:1-2. The lesson elaborated on Paul’s greetings in the letter. The Pastor explained how Ephesians was a rich book with incredible depth in it’s writings. It also contained messages on wealth in Christ. He focused on the name Paul and its derivations. He also elaborated on the will of God in Paul’s life as well as ours. Then, he explained that the recipients of this letter were not just limited to the church in Ephesus but it was sent to all the Holy people who are set apart for God’s service and given a new mind by God. Furthermore, they were sent to the ones who were faithful and trusted in Lord Jesus and His faithfulness. The Pastor then explained the message of greetings, i.e., the Lord’s Grace and Peace to the ones who are to read the letter. He closed his segment by posing the question- where do we, in our lives, find our peace. He asked if it was from the Lord’s grace or from earthly matters, and lastly, how does the Lord’s Grace impact our personal life?
This was followed by a short worship session after which, Elder N Sonzalian closed the service with a prayer.
