PROJECT NEHEMIA - VII

PERIOD: April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016
TARGET: 2,22,000 (Two Lakhs Twenty-Two Thousand only) Out of the total commitment, a sum of Rs  2,00,000 is to be raised by the BYF, EBCC Delhi and the remaining amount by their Central Delhi counterparts.
THRUST AREAS: The Core Team, which comprised of both the Chairmen, Secretaries and Finance Secretaries of BYF, EBCC Delhi and Central Delhi, was constituted for the purpose of making a detailed study of the various implementation policies/options. The Team made two major recommendations, which were duly approved by both Committees as follows:-
  1. Long term: From this year onwards, special focus to be given on developing an educational centre for Zoudawn, equipped with all facilities which are at par with institutions in the towns and cities. This is sought to be achieved by way of adopting one of the existing schools and creating better infrastructural setup therein, while striving to ensure availability of qualified staff with the ultimate objective of providing accessibility to quality education for the underprivileged children of Zoudawn. For this, a minimum of 70% of the total Project budget must set aside each year by successive BYF Committees.
  2. Need based: The remaining 30% of the total budget shall be earmarked each year for this segment. The Committee(s) through the Core Team shall decide the nature and type of need that shall be given assistance on a yearly basis.
For the current year, this 30% translates into approximately Rs  65,000.
