PROJECT NEHEMIA - V

PERIOD: January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013
TARGET: Rs  1,75,000 (One Lakh Seventy Five Thousand only)
THRUST AREAS: While the needs of our Mission Schools are many and varied, allocation of Project funds has always been based purely on prioritization of such needs. The primary objective in the initial stages was to provide financial support towards improvement of basic infrastructure. However, over the years a growing need was felt for re-examining this aspect of the Project and to focus more attention towards human capacity building. Accordingly, there has been a gradual shift towards initiatives for capacity enhancement, while not completely abandoning support for infrastructural improvement.
The Study Team, which was formed within the BYF Committee for the purpose of making a detailed study of the various implementation policies/options, recommended three major thrust areas during this period. These are:-
  1. Teachers’ Empowerment/Capacity Enhancement;
  2. Infrastructure Building; and
  3. Student Motivation.
