Outreach

Apart from spiritual diet as served through worship services, Sunday schools, prayer cells and other fellowships, various outreach missions are undertaken through the various wings of the Church. In tune with the spirit of ‘sharing what you have’ as pervaded the social milieu of early Christians, such missions of motivational nature are taken up with a view to encourage the spiritual and material well being of those who live in less advantageous circumstances.

Visit to Batala, Punjab (26-29 April, 2013):

Under the auspices of the Tualsung Baptist Missions Committee (TBMC) the Church paid a visit to Batala in Punjab, the seat of mission work run in collaboration with FMPB from 26 to 29 April, 2013. Close interaction with Pastor Singsit, the missionary incharge and the locals had given a clear insight into the state of affairs in Punjab. The rustic and innocent Punjabi cultivators have shown a high level of faith and enthusiasm in the gospel. They sang praises in forms similar with Sikh devotional songs and yet intensely gospel in content. The team was back in Delhi with a new zeal to transform their lives spiritually and ultimately in material terms. During the year 2014 it is planned to visit the Nepal field where missionary work of the Church has been carried on since the last 20 years.

Zodawn Missions Motivational Tour (26-31 July, 2013):

In an effort to motivate the school going tender minds in the area of education and further help in the fulfillment of ‘developing the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform' as enshrined in the Indian Constitution Zodawn Missions Motivational Tour under the banner of Project Nehemiah was undertaken with the Baptist Youth Fellowship from 26 to 31 July 2013. The team accompanied by Rev. V. Thangkhangin, Director (Institutions), also had the support of Rev. V. Khamvum, District Superintendant, Singngat as they skirted the hills of Manipur’s south district. In all 17 EBC Church Hq run English Schools and 5 Churches were visited.  As a result of close interactions with the rustic villagers, the tender minds of the kids studying in EBCC run schools got highly motivated. Such jewels of the hills have a burning desire and renewed resolve to live a meaningful life.

Visit to Nepal Mission Field (4-10 June, 2014):

On June 4, 2014, 9 women and 15 men from EBCC Delhi set out for Nepal. They reached the Nepal Mission Field on June 6, 2014. The exhaustion due to long journey was alleviated by clean air, altitude and the hospitality of the hosts.

Out of the 32 villages where the mission has branched off, the team had the privilege to visit 12 Churches/fellowships

Kathmandu:

Under the stewardship of Rev. Kamginthang, who runs Grace Orphanage Home (GCH) in Kathmandu, the team enjoyed a comfortable board and lodging. There the team visited NEBCC Church, which is a rented accommodation. The session with GCH children there was a memorable event.

Birtamod:

The office of Field Superintendant is at Birtmod is the seat of the Nepal Mission. Rev. Thawndoulian, the incumbent, warmly welcomed them and led them through the 11 fellowships in the vicinity. Local Pastor of EBCC Delhi,  V. Nenglian prayed for the the Christians there.

The locals expressed their happiness about the missionary work including the tin sheets supplied by EBCC Delhi 4 years ago for Dharampur NEBCC Church building.

That the letter of encouragement sent by BYF Delhi on the occasion of Missionary Day, 2013 & 2014 had been used by the Holy Spirit to enrich the Missionaries and Christians there was witnessed during the visit.
